Léa’s life completely changed when she lost her hair due to cancer treatment. During this difficult time she needed support and self-confidence, while keeping her own sense of style. That’s why she chose a hat instead of a wig.
"With my soft Caring Hat hat I feel like myself again. It gives me style, comfort and the strength to pick up my daughter from school without feeling different from the other moms."

About Caring Hat Fund
Hair loss is a deeply invasive and emotionally charged side effect of cancer treatment. More and more people look for elegant alternatives to wigs or chemo caps, as well as more comfortable solutions for their increasingly sensitive scalps. It is to support these patients during this challenging time that the Caring Hat project was launched in 2022, led by a group of committed women, including the renowned hat designer Fabienne Delvigne.
Caring Hat Fund offers an alternative for wigs for patients with hair loss due to a severe medical treatment: soft, personalized hats and caps. Beyond providing stylish and comfortable headwear, the organization also advocate to make the reimbursement of hats and headgears possible.
“Our non-profit organization has played a pioneering role in securing the regulatory changes necessary for the reimbursement of hats and (chemo) caps”, explains Fabienne.
Caring Hat Fund: More Than Just a Hat
Caring Hat Fund aims to offer more than just a hat to those experiencing alopecia (hair loss) following medical treatment: a touch of softness and warm support to regain confidence in themselves, renewed self-esteem and to feel better in their social and professional environment.
Because feeling good in your own skin, means feeling steadier in your battle.
A beautiful hat or personalized cap: helping every woman maintain her femininity and every man stay through to himself, despite hair loss.
A moment of comfort and well-being: thanks to the warm welcome in the Maison Fabienne Delvigne, every person enjoys a soothing, uplifting experience, away from the daily medical routine.
Accessible for all: since July 1, 2024, patients (if eligible for reimbursement) can receive up to €120 from their health insurance fund upon presentation of the medical certificate and the proof of hat/cap purchase. Additionally, they may apply for full or partial financial support from the Caring Hat Fund NPO in the cost of the hat.
